Olina Jennings & Oliver Wood
Short-tempered Ravenclaw Chaser × oblivious Gryffindor Keeper, bickering enemies who are destined for each other, also known as the wooden senior’s agonizing pursuit of his wife, and an epic face-slapping from “Kid, stop following me around” to “Don’t be afraid. I’ll follow you forever.”
[Lighthearted Blurb]
Olina Jennings has many secrets no one knows about.
First secret: As a first-year, Olina picked out that Gryffindor Keeper from the Quidditch stands at first sight, not just as her crush, but as the opponent she was determined to defeat someday.
Second secret: In her second year, she realized Oliver Wood couldn’t remember her name at all (“The new Ravenclaw Chaser? Uh... Jennifer?”), so she poured a tenfold concentration of stimulant into his pumpkin juice. But when she saw the dark circles under his eyes lasting for days, she felt bad and slipped a Draught of Living Death into his mushroom soup.
Third secret: During Quidditch practice in her fourth year, Oliver let a Bludger she’d hit at him land so she could let off steam. He hadn’t expected to fall off his broom. In her panic, she transformed into a hawk and caught him.
Now she has one last secret:
That wooden captain secretly learned to become an Animagus, and is begging and pleading to wander the world with her.
Oliver Wood had a little problem in his fourth year: a tiny first-year Ravenclaw kept following him around, so his teammates teased him all day about “Oliver’s irresistible charm,” and he had to constantly guard against his tactics being leaked. Merlin’s beard, she could even recite every swear word he said during practice!
By seventh year, that little problem had become a big one. He stumbled upon her secret, and the girl who was always baring her claws at him suddenly started avoiding him. Worse, he found himself unconsciously reminding his teammates when planning tactics not to knock her off her broom unless absolutely necessary.
Night after night, he stared blankly at the dormitory ceiling, dreaming of her robes fluttering as she turned away.
Merlin! He’d suffered from insomnia for three whole months. It had never happened before, not even on the eve of the Quidditch final.
