My name is Haoxing Ping. I'm a college student, and every day I lead an ordinary, unremarkable, same-old-same-old kind of life.
However, that's only what I think.
My true identity is an NPC in horror movies, the kind who dies early because of all sorts of reckless stunts. In every movie, I survive for less than forty minutes, and my deaths are all kinds of bizarre and varied. Many of them are so gruesome they wouldn't even pass censorship.
But because I'm too lazy and too unflappable, I manage to dodge the death scenes every time.
I'm too lazy to go explore a mysterious haunted house. Too lazy to watch a cursed videotape. Too lazy to pick up a strange doll. And the last stall in the shopping mall restroom is locked... Why would I use that stall if it's locked?
Then one night, I saved a boy, and my peaceful life was finally turned upside down.
I know you shouldn't just rescue men you find by the roadside, but he scratched me when I wasn't looking. If I just let him die, the police could find my skin under his fingernails and track me down. I've been an honest person for nineteen years, and I don't want to end up at the police station over this.
So, as he gazed at me with hopeful eyes... I called 120 for an ambulance.
From that day on, my five senses changed. I could see, touch, and smell all kinds of supernatural creatures: mountain spirits, monsters, vengeful spirits, evil ghosts, great demons, and the latest trendy sort... gloomy male ghosts?
They showed up in my life, everywhere and at all times. There was no way I could escape them.
Whatever. My life is worthless anyway, so bring it on.
At first, they all wanted to kill me, just like in the story. But later... Huh, have all the evil ghosts fallen for me?
