Gu Yi was abandoned at an orphanage as a child. With her solitary nature, she spent her days keeping company with the stray cats and dogs on the streets.
After graduating from high school, she worked at a pet shop to cover her living expenses. While working there, she settled on her future goal: opening a pet shop of her own.
She promptly applied to study veterinary medicine, and while in school, she also pursued a second degree in pet care and training.
After graduating, she worked for four years and finally saved enough money to rent a shop. While renovations were underway, she went to check on the place and was knocked unconscious by an unsecured scaffold.
When she opened her eyes, she had arrived in a future world where beast taming was mainstream.
Every profession related to beast pets was extremely popular, except one: daily care for beast pets.
Her new body belonged to a care specialist who had just graduated. With only average skills, she had been starving on one meal a day.
When Gu Yi saw all the fluffy creatures in this world, her eyes lit up.
She could do this. She already had certificates in pet nutrition, cooking, veterinary medicine, pet grooming...
It didn’t matter if she couldn’t use them in this world. She could take the exams all over again.
