Rewind

Short story | Bad ending | Mutual unrequited love | School days

A registered letter from the post office in her hometown brought Sheng Guanxia's memories back to the summer when she was seventeen.

That summer, when she was seventeen: the university entrance exams, summer vacation, the seaside.

She and Jiang Su had met eyes amid the sound of waves breaking on the shore, then hurriedly looked away. Back then, she was timid, afraid her secret feelings would show.

Later, Sheng Guanxia regretted it countless times. If she could go back to when she was seventeen,

she would ask Jiang Su directly:

"Did you like me?"
