Up to this point, Xu Mengze's life has been both good and bad.
The good: she was abandoned as a child, but didn't end up a true orphan. Her adoptive parents took her in and raised her with care.
The bad: yesterday, she became an orphan again, one with only a soul left.
Her family of three were on a trip when their plane crashed.
As the plane plunged toward the earth, the three relatives who shared no blood ties held one another tightly and sank into darkness.
When she woke again, Xu Mengze was surprised to find herself revived in a bare field.

Looking at the ten gleaming wheat seeds floating before her, Xu Mengze fell into thought.
Had she been reborn into some kind of farming game?
But in her soul form, there was nothing Xu Mengze could do except farm, so she diligently dug the soil and buried the seeds, waiting for the plants to grow so she could collect her reward.

But before she had fully adjusted to this new body, the farming game underwent an earth-shaking change. The light that had concealed its boundaries vanished, revealing an endless primeval forest and strange-looking plants.

Wait, there isn't a person in sight for half a mile. Who's going to buy wheat from her?
Xu Mengze stared wordlessly at the sky as a streak of light shot over her head.
Well, there's a customer for her wheat.
