Why Are You Like This, Deskmate?

Luo Yu has been unconscious in a hospital bed for two years after a car accident. One day, he's jolted awake by some thing calling itself the Gossip System, which orders him to observe the hero and heroine together and complete gossip missions, or he'll stay in bed as a vegetable.

Only then does Luo Yu learn that his older sister, Su Yifan, is the heroine of a melodramatic coming-of-age novel.

He returns to school and ends up sharing a desk with the male lead, Qiao Xun.

Qiao Xun: Yu Yu, stick with me, bro. I'll protect you.

Luo Yu: Does that include food, lodging, and finding me a boyfriend?

Qiao Xun: Deal!
