Something Seems Off with This Matchmaker

Xian Yu is the newly appointed Matchmaker God. Since taking up the post, he has officiated at two weddings.

The first time.

The bride was a Dragon Princess of the West Sea, and the groom was a Dragon Prince of the East Sea.

But his first attempt went badly: the bride beat the groom to death on their wedding day.

No matter. There's always next time.

Not long afterward, Xian Yu was invited to officiate at another wedding.

This time, the couple belonged to the phoenix clan.

The bride and groom were childhood sweethearts who had grown up together, and they seemed to be very much in love. Surely this one would go well.

But it failed again: on the wedding day, both the bride and groom disappeared.

For a long time afterward, nobody asked Xian Yu to officiate at their wedding. He didn't pay it much mind, until one day he heard a rumor.

If you ask the Matchmaker God to officiate, the marriage is sure to fall apart.

Xian Yu was furious when he heard this rumor. It was practically an insult to his face. He was the Matchmaker God, after all!

Besides, neither of the first two failures had anything to do with him!

He had to prove himself!

He was certain he could successfully officiate at a wedding and silence those rumors!!!

As it happened, someone invited Xian Yu to officiate at another wedding...
