The Watermelon That Can Run

On a hot summer afternoon, a little girl named Lily meets Liangliang, a tiny summer sprite no bigger than a thumb, dressed in a skirt made of green leaves. Just as they start chatting about the enormous watermelon chilling in the yard, ready to be eaten that afternoon, the round, chubby melon suddenly rolls away all by itself! And so begins a chase full of childish fun and summer spirit. Lily and Liangliang follow the “mischievous” watermelon past the vegetable garden, the beehives, and a big yellow cat taking its afternoon nap. At last, with Liangliang's magical help, they use morning glory vines to stop the adventurous watermelon. This little unexpected detour makes Lily feel that summer is especially fun. They decide to share the special watermelon with everyone that evening. A heartwarming fairy tale about summer, friendship, imagination, and life's little surprises, brimming with sunshine, greenery, and the joys of childhood.
