Her Little Bunny

Overworked office worker Fei Yi keeps a clever, adorable little rabbit. It understands human instructions and even steps on the remote to watch TV. It's also very affectionate.

After a tiring day, Fei Yi comes home and greets the rabbit that bounds over with a whole string of, "Let Mommy kiss you, hug you, and lift you up high!"

Can rabbits really be this smart? Curious, a friend follows Fei Yi home to see for herself. The moment they open the door, they both freeze. A strange girl is curled up on a bed strewn with clothes for every season, wearing one of Fei Yi's usual nightgowns.

Her friend gives Fei Yi an indescribable look. "So this is the... rabbit you keep?"

Fei Yi figures she must have had too much to drink at the gathering and started seeing things... She's just about to close the door and clear her head when the girl stumbles into her arms, blinks her big, dark, dewy eyes, tilts her head up to kiss Fei Yi's chin, and says in a reproachful voice, "Why won't Mommy kiss me?"

Help! Where did her tiny, sweet baby go? And where did this person come from?

"Mommy?!" Her friend repeats the word in disbelief, her eyes wide with shock. The door slams shut in front of her as the rabbit kicks it closed.

"Mommy, it's Nian Nian."
