After a Rough Man Found the Down-and-Out Immortal Venerable

Ji Tingli has the most beautiful face in the entire cultivation world. Blessed with extraordinary talent and a cold, proud nature, he is the strongest Sword Venerable of his generation. Cultivators admire him, revere him, and fear him.

Yet no one could have imagined that this powerful, aloof Sword Venerable would be cursed by a dying vicious beast while fighting for a Fortune Fruit.

Once his spiritual power is gone, he will gradually go blind, deaf, and mute... unable to wield a sword or move about easily. In the end, he can only wither away like a gorgeous flower, becoming a beautiful but useless invalid.

Just before he lost consciousness and fell into danger, he saw a hunter approaching.

The hunter rescued him and took him home. His name was Xie Lufeng. He was handsome and tall, with thick calluses on his hands. He rarely smiled and was a taciturn sort, looking both fierce and rough.

In truth, he was very good at caring for people. He did Ji Tingli's laundry, cooked for him, washed his face, and wiped him down. He did everything for him so well that Ji Tingli couldn't find fault with him. Though he was reluctant to admit it, Xie Lufeng was extremely reliable.

Sometimes, Ji Tingli even thought it might not be so bad to stay here.

He also discovered that Xie Lufeng had incredible luck. Every time the man went out, he would easily come back with a baby phoenix or a baby dragon. Yet he never took proper care of them, raising the little phoenix and dragon so haphazardly that Ji Tingli couldn't help feeling jealous.

For his own protection, while his senses were still intact, Ji Tingli taught him cultivation, reading, and how to train dragons and phoenixes. When Xie Lufeng failed to learn properly, Ji Tingli would put on a stern face and smack the man's palm with a ruler.

As he taught him, Ji Tingli realized that his body was getting weaker by the day. His exquisitely beautiful face grew pale as if he were ill, his skin translucent and whiter than snow, his figure slender and his waist so delicate it could be encircled in one hand, inspiring pity.

He had to cover his eyes with white cloth and tie silver bells around his wrists and ankles so the hunter could tell where he was. Even when he went out, he had to be carried by that hard-bodied, rough-hewn man...
