Mu Qianyu wakes up one day to find he has gained a new set of memories. From them, he learns that he's going to die on the battlefield in a year.
The memory doesn't end there. Suddenly, a voice says, "Don't be afraid, Yu. Even if you die, I'll follow you."
Mu Qianyu is bewildered. Bro? Are we really that close as comrades?
But he's not a general right now. He's only just arrived at the base. And as a member of the defense team, he's "not well liked" by the others and isn't even allowed to touch the mechs.
Before Mu Qianyu can recover from his shock, his friend suddenly shoves him excitedly. "Qianyu, you're on the same team as Ji Shuyuan!"
He asks, "Huh? Who?"
His friend replies, "The top student at our school."
As the newcomer strides over with a whole crowd behind him, Mu Qianyu is even more bewildered. Why does this person's voice sound so much like the voice from the end of his memory?
But as time passes, more and more things shock him. The most shocking of all is that Ji Shuyuan has been keeping so many photos of him hidden away.
Ji Shuyuan: "Brother Yu, I'm just your little fan."
Mu Qianyu: "I don't believe you."
Ji Shuyuan: "How could I be spying on you? I'm just observing you."
Mu Qianyu: "I don't believe you."
Ji Shuyuan: "But do I look like a pervert?"
Mu Qianyu: "...Let me think about that."
A few things to know: (I made the cover myself.)
1. 1v1, both leads are each other's only partners, no mpreg. My writing isn't great, and I've added quite a few details of my own.
The uke is a bit of a contrast and super slow to catch on when it comes to romance x a scheming seme who tries both subtle and direct hints. (They both have some quirks they're not fully aware of, like being possessive or secretly taking photos of each other.)
2. This is probably a lighthearted story. There are scenes with kids (younger siblings), about three parts out of five compared to the main plot, but both are important!
3. The side couple is a little unusual: they're two kids, but not quite.
Theme: Let all the pain be utterly destroyed.
