[Small-town embroiderer x young master of a marquis's household]
-
In the third month of spring, Gusu's "Xiuhua Town" was especially lively. Aunt Li, the kindhearted owner of "Jinxiu Embroidery House," took in a baby girl abandoned outside her door.
Since pear blossoms were in bloom outside, she named the baby girl "Su Wantang."
*
Su Wantang was no ordinary person. With just a few words from a customer, she could embroider a portrait of their beloved.
But she had always had one wish: to build the biggest embroidery house!
-
Shen Yanqing first met her when he accidentally stained her embroidery.
Even more amusingly, the young lady took him for a scholar! Of course, he really was the owner of Qingmo Study.
"The ink on this peony of yours makes it look just like the withered lotus I painted yesterday, young lady."
She turned red with anger. How interesting!
*
As luck would have it, he had just returned from taking care of some business outside when he saw a beautiful embroiderer inside Jinxiu Embroidery House, her bright eyes sparkling like the stars.
Isn't she the young lady I met last time?
He stepped in and helped her out of a predicament.
While he was at it, he asked her to mend a sachet for him.
"What pattern would you like, young master?"
"Just embroider... the first flower to bloom in spring."
She did as he asked and embroidered the first flower to blossom, the pear flower.
But she didn't know that what he wanted was her.
*
Another heavy rain came, and this time he heard that the rain had washed away the loft where the young lady lived.
After much persuasion, he finally got her to move into the side room of his study.
-
Su Wantang visited Qingmo Study once again, only to find two men standing inside.
They looked quite alike!
"Brother, you're really not going back to the Shen residence?"
Su Wantang: ???
So he was the son of an aristocratic family...
She could only feel afraid.
"Brother, so you know that being close to the water lets you enjoy the moonlight first, too?"
That sounded rather suspicious...
