One summer night, a little snail named Jingjing gazed up at the starry sky and dreamed of touching the stars, even though all the other little animals laughed at him.
Jingjing tried to climb a sunflower. Though he failed, he met Xiaocai the butterfly, who encouraged him. He learned the lesson of "making a little progress every day."
When a summer storm arrived, Jingjing kept climbing despite the danger and protected a nest of ants from the wind and rain, showing courage and kindness.
A wise owl told Jingjing the secret of "ladder grass," and Jingjing decided to set out in search of this magical plant.
