The insect race reproduced by the tens of thousands each day. They were cruel by nature, impossible to communicate with, and driven by an instinct to plunder and occupy other habitable planets to reproduce. The various races had fought them for thousands of years, but every time the insects were defeated, they returned in even greater numbers. Now, facing an army of nearly a hundred million insects, victory seemed unlikely even with the entire population mobilized.
Just as everyone was lost in despair, a strange beast dropped from the sky and began chomping down on the insect race.
