Yun Yan is a prodigy of the Sword Dao. Unfortunately, she's a prodigy who has just failed her tribulation and ascension.
When she opens her eyes, she's become a rookie junior sister at Kunlun a thousand years in the future, with the same name: Yun Yan. She's also been forced to bind herself to a redemption System.
The System tells her, “See that aloof, cold junior brother? Win him over and warm his heart, and I'll give you your cultivation back.”
Yun Yan scratches her head. As a sword cultivator, she may not know how to win someone over, but she knows a thing or two about attacking.
And what's most important to a sword cultivator? Money? Love? Rare treasures?
No. Getting stronger! Stronger!! Stronger!!!
So, determined to get her cultivation back, Yun Yan confidently tells the System, “No problem. Leave it to me.”
The System goes peacefully to sleep. When it wakes again, it sees Yun Yan raising her divine sword to stab the genius female cultivator from Penglai... and the redemption target, Lin Mubai, standing beside her.
???
System: “I told you to win him over, not attack him!”
Yun Yan feels deeply guilty about the misunderstanding. She only discovered that the System had lied to her and decided to teach them a little lesson. The villains and the System may have lost their lives, but she lost her Dao heart too!
*
Everyone knows that a cultivator without a Dao heart is like a fish without an alchemy furnace.
So Yun Yan resolutely sets out to find her Dao heart, though for years she feels she's done little more than travel the world, eat, drink, and have fun.
She often runs into roadblocks and annoying people, but Yun Yan always makes it through safely. How? Well, she may not know proper etiquette, but she knows a thing or two about fighting.
When Yun Yan finally returns, she's become the youngest Spirit Transformation expert of the era.
Everyone asks, “How did you manage that?”
Yun Yan's brows arch as she smiles, looking innocent and harmless. “Because I cultivate the Heartless Dao.”
The female lead is a drama queen.
Please note:
My own take on cultivation, with plenty of original worldbuilding and a lightly ensemble cast.
Plot, plot, plot.
The leads have very little romance at first. After the first arc, the male lead won't appear much.
The female lead is entirely focused on her career. She seems emotionally expressive and likes doing good deeds.
Aside from the male supporting characters needed early on, most important characters who appear later will be women. Please assume NPCs are female; there may still be one or two male supporting characters we can't avoid.
If you don't like it, don't force yourself to read. I accept all criticism, but not malicious comments.
Theme: Grow toward the sun
Finally entered v, hahaha, so awesome [Spread flowers]
When will it be updated, baby?
Why hasn't it been updated?
One by one, vivid characters appear, but we cannot prevent their inevitable endings, because they have their own souls in the author's writing. Thank you for letting me see such vivid characters 😚😚
Ahhhhhhh, I'm so angry
Baozi, you must think carefully about the connection between the system and the male protagonist, otherwise, you will have no choice but to go in the direction of no CP 🙏 🙏
Come on, come on, I will accompany you, haha, I have to go to class too, I will accompany you
Hahahaha, but Fellow Taoist Yunyan is indeed a genius
Yunyan: I'm a genius if I don't pretend to be a showdown 💪
The sisterly love really pokes me in the face, oooooooooo, so is Nangong Yan Yunyan 😭 😭
