Chao Wu Qianye downloaded a single-player detective game. From the start, he chose to become an experimental subject in Yokohama. The main quest was to solve cases and save the world.
As a seasoned open-world player, there was no way he was following the main quest. Side quests had to be cleared, and good-looking NPCs had to be flirted with.
To the player's delight, the game had a huge map, plenty of cases, and an exciting, action-packed story.
The only downside was that the game had no walkthrough, NPC affection levels were hard to raise, and the NPCs kept saying strange things, looking at him strangely, and even turning down his invitations to move in together.
1. In the Port Mafia building, Chao Wu Qianye stuffed all the bandages in his arms into Dazai Osamu's arms.
Chao Wu Qianye: "Damn it, why is his affection level still only 10 after I gave him so many bandages?"
Dazai Osamu, holding enough bandages to last a year: ...
Chao Wu Qianye: "Maybe next time I'll try throwing Dazai Osamu into a river, or dressing as a woman and dying with him?"
Dazai Osamu: "?? Get away from me!"
2. In the Port Mafia basement.
Verlaine: "Neither of us is human. In this world, only you and Chuuya are like me. You're both my younger brothers. Chuuya won't let me interfere with your choices, but I hope you'll come back to me."
Nakahara Chuuya: "Qianye, you might feel lost about being nonhuman, just like I did. But I believe you'll find your own path."
Chao Wu Qianye: "What? We're not human? Hahahaha! Great! Human abilities really are limited, Chuuya. I'm done being human!"
Verlaine and Nakahara Chuuya: ...
3. Chao Wu Qianye and Kunikida go to a client's home after receiving a request.
Kunikida: "Chao Wu Qianye! Stop touching the client's things! Put that wallet down!"
Chao Wu Qianye: "Tch. Can't I pick up a wallet I found lying around?"
Client: Is it too late to call the police?
4. Chao Wu Qianye runs into the two strongest sorcerers escorting the Star Plasma Vessel.
Chao Wu Qianye: "I've been meaning to ask. Are you in some kind of cult? Will the world end if you don't sacrifice a girl?"
Amanai Riko: "No... Merging with Lord Tengen... is the mission I've borne since birth."
Chao Wu Qianye: "Oh, so Tengen is the cult leader? White hair and squinty eyes, want to turn over a new leaf and team up to take down the cult?"
Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru: ... We'll have to pass.
5. At the crime scene, Chao Wu Qianye yanks open the door. Conan, who had been hiding behind it and using a bow-tie voice changer to solve the case, tumbles into the bedroom.
Conan, surrounded by onlookers: !!!
Chao Wu Qianye: "Are you playing hide-and-seek, little guy? What's that in your hand? Let me play with it!"
Conan: "!!! Stop! Don't!!"
Onlookers: Why hasn't Detective Mori said anything yet? Did he really fall asleep?
6. Chao Wu Qianye finishes remodeling the stolen Kokuyo and excitedly invites all his friends to celebrate.
Chao Wu Qianye: "Come on, everyone, pick a room you like. Let's start our happy life together!"
Akutagawa Ryunosuke: "What the hell are you talking about?"
Itadori Yuji: "L-l-living together?!"
Chao Wu Qianye: "That's right! I'm not a playboy. I just want to give every beauty a home!"
Everyone: ...
1. The pairing is undecided. See the supporting cast section for the candidates.
2. The protagonist thinks like a player early on and flirts with NPCs without taking it seriously.
3. The timeline will be altered somewhat for the sake of the plot.
