Focus on You

I recommend learning a little about virtual streamers before reading. There are some technical terms in the story that might affect your enjoyment if you don't know what they mean.

The shou is the gong's secret crush, so it's half a one-sided-love story (?) Though it's really more like mutual pining. The gong seems like a player, but he's actually a romantic at heart. He's good at flirting, but blushes and gets flustered when someone flirts with him. He's a little shit. I love the contrast! The moment the gong's voice comes on, it's like he's running around naked. The shou knows exactly what's going on, but says nothing because he likes watching the gong get worked up. The gong will eventually confess. The gong has emotional issues and PTSD; the shou is like a little ray of sunshine who saves him. Switching things around a bit, the shou is the guiding partner. There are a few angsty parts, like the gong's childhood (which has to do with money), getting harassed by brain-dead fans after becoming a male vtuber, and a major incident in the middle that nearly forces him to quit. This is mainly a sweet romance, and everything serves the love story between these two babies! No matter what, the shou is always by his side, whatever their relationship status, never abandoning him.

In the end, the gong realizes that he and his big-money sponsor can never be together, so he graduates decisively, pursues true love, and becomes an undefeated legend in the vtuber circle.

No characters are based on real people. The only references are Uki, Taka, and the now-inactive Mian Te, with a little bit of Shikinagi. The gong may collaborate with other big vtubers later on, but there won't be any real-life vtuber circle drama, so don't worry. Still, coming up with an avatar name is so hard!
