The host said, "Let's ask Serendipity who the leader of the group is."
Everyone pointed at themselves.
Han Junyu snatched the microphone first. "I'm the oldest in the group."
Li Xianyu wrestled the microphone away. "Junyu is technically the oldest, but I'm the leader."
"We know Xianyu is the leader. And we also know I can make the leader yield, so I'm the real boss," Ran Yi said casually.
In the end, none of them would concede, so they decided to settle it in the most honest way possible: arm wrestling.
Ran Yi looked at the four teammates he'd just knocked down and flashed a wicked smile. He'd reached the top in front of his teammates.
That's what reaching the top means in this story: the tale of a young man gradually growing stronger.
[Our meeting was destiny. Everything was such a Serendipity.]
The dream began when Ran Yi was kidnapped and left at the entrance to DF. It ended with him standing inside a concert venue with his teammates, singing their own songs and embracing their own sea of fans.
It's mainly about five young men striving to climb to the top together.
The overall tone is light and funny, an uplifting and entertaining showbiz story.
Content warnings:
1. I'm a fan of Korean entertainment, so the story will inevitably be influenced by the real Korean entertainment industry to some extent. Please don't assume the characters are based on real people. None of them have real-life counterparts. If you don't like that, feel free to drop the story early.
2. Since they're all in showbiz, the characters will have their own little schemes, but they won't cross the line. If you like characters who are innocent and sweet, you can drop this one too.
3. This is not a talent-show story. No romance. The male lead and his teammates are all career-focused.
It should be a long story. I'll do my best to update daily and not disappear.

Title: Anyone Want to Talk About That Chinese Green Card Who Made a Flop Group Fly?
Main post: He's totally the male lead of a feel-good novel on Jiang. His group sold only 200 copies at debut and flopped so hard the boss ran away and his teammates enlisted. He could only play an extra in low-budget dramas. Then the boss who'd run off came back, his role became a hit, and even his return from military service made headlines. From then on, he took off.
Long version:
Generally speaking, if a group is a flop in TC, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a flop in Korea. But if a group isn't popular in Korea, it definitely won't be popular in TC. Of course, there are exceptions. If they have a TC green card, then the xmm will at least spare them a little attention.
Wan Qian was the exception among exceptions. PCM had never paid his group any attention, and neither had YHM. Even in TC, where they had the home-field advantage, nobody cared.
Always Win made two comebacks, flopped for half a year, and even drove off the rich second-generation boss who'd been tricked into investing. With no other options, two members enlisted, leaving the youngest, the green card holder, to keep working outside.
Good news: No rival company or rival group was mocking them.
Bad news: They were so unpopular they had no rivals at all. Every other group was ahead of them.
The green card holder couldn't go solo either, but he couldn't just sit around. Unable to stand the sight of him, his manager used their connections to throw him into a production as some number-n extra. A year and a half went by. Wan Qian was still worrying about what would happen to the group when his teammates finished their service, when the boss came back and was astonished to find they were still alive. In a moment of conscience, he decided to invest in them for one last year.
From then on, their luck changed.
Years later, someone asked Wan Qian how he'd managed to haul Always Win up from rock bottom. He thought about it for a moment, then said:
"Maybe I'd been unlucky for too long, and Heaven got bored and decided to change the script."
