The Gu family's second daughter, Gu Wanyin, was a rare beauty, with an exquisite appearance, lustrous black hair, and a lovely face.
On the surface, she was spoiled and willful, but deep down she had very little sense of security.
The boldest thing she ever did was arrange to meet the man she loved, Pei Jie, at the Peach Blossom Pavilion outside the city.
Pei Jie never showed up. Instead, she fell into a carefully laid trap and was captured by bandits from Xiyan Mountain.
The beauty of days gone by became a caged bird.
Gu Wanyin clutched the sleeve of the person before her and begged softly, "P-please save me."
His long, slender fingers lifted her jade-like chin. In a careless tone, he said, "I could... but what reason do I have to help you?"
Meeting Xie Yun's gaze, Gu Wanyin stammered, "If... if you save me, I'll do whatever you say from now on."
★ Reading Guide:
A cool, beautiful female lead and a cunning male lead who plays the fool. Both leads are chaste.
[Ongoing Novel] Reborn and Married to the Green Tea Power Minister
Song Siyao and her cousin Xie Yuning grew up together. Her cousin lived in their home on her own, and Song Siyao's mother was afraid the servants would bully or look down on her, so she favored her in every way.
Even the injury that later left Song Siyao's hand crippled was partly due to her mother's favoritism.
Fortunately, Song Siyao had a good marriage prospect. But who could have known that her childhood friend and fiance, Xu Yanyan, saw her only as a younger sister? The one he loved was her cousin.
In her previous life, Xu Yanyan and her cousin overcame many hardships and ultimately became a devoted couple. But good people don't live long: her cousin died under mysterious circumstances, clutching an earring Song Siyao had lost. As a result, Song Siyao was confined for more than a decade...
Reborn in this life, Song Siyao broke off her engagement to the Xu family from the start. The women of the capital laughed at her for it, wondering what kind of marriage a woman with a crippled hand could hope for.
Everyone gleefully waited to see her come to a miserable end. But as time passed, they discovered that Song Siyao had married Shen Yi.
The eldest son of the Shen family, who had earned great merit by helping the future emperor seize the throne.
Shen Yi curled a finger and tapped his little wife's nose, his tone rising slightly. "You asked why I won't return to my ancestral family?"
Then he gave a soft laugh and continued, "...Because then wouldn't you have to call me 'big brother'?"
Theme: We must face life's setbacks with courage.
There is no progress in the plot in these ten chapters. The minor supporting characters and even the psychological activities and dialogues of the NPCs have to be written in detail. They have no role in advancing the plot at all, and there are no ideas to be expressed. I really can't understand it.
Looks great, cheers! 🌈
I don't understand. After so many chapters, the heroine seems to have done nothing. She knew clearly that something was exposed before, so she just waited. Has she not taken any action after so many days? And we know that the biological mother's dowry is a lot, but she hasn't fought for anything since she was reborn?
I feel that the current plot development is a bit slow ~ more than ten chapters have been written about the heroine's marriage proposal to the hero after her father found out about her affair outside. The second male lead has not appeared much. The heroine's growth line facing her stepmother is too slow. There are too many scenes between the stepmother and stepsister. The heroine's counterattack against the stepmother's investigation is too weak. The third prince and Yan Niang can't argue with each other when they have a relationship [laughs and cries] ] Yan Niang has taken care of him for so long and he is still very proud and disdainful (it seems from the current plot only). I understand that Da Da wants to write a dual-line narrative to write the story line of the male protagonist and the third prince at the same time. However, I personally feel that the development of the plot in Chapter 80 is not much different from the beginning 🍉 (not bad, if it hurts the author, please block my comment)
It's Xiao Song! Why do you want to harm women?
Shura field!! So short
I thought Xiao Pei knew that A Yin was married.
Ah!!! Red mole!!
Does the second male lead know that the female lead is married?!
The progress is indeed a bit too slow. Now that I see it, I don't know what the point is.
