Shen Jinzhou saw Wen Zhi again at his twentieth birthday party.

The girl wore a long dark teal dress, her hair loose. She only had to stand there quietly to draw countless eyes.

At first sight, Shen Jinzhou recognized her as the pitiful little girl who used to follow him around, calling him "big brother."

That year, the Wen family fell on hard times, and sixteen-year-old Wen Zhi was sent to live with the Shen family.

The Shen parents were especially fond of their friend's daughter and told their son to take good care of her. At the time, Shen Jinzhou could only agree.

He never expected the poor little thing to cling to him from then on.

From that moment, Shen Jinzhou had a little shadow by his side. Wherever he went, Wen Zhi was sure to be there.

His friends all teased him about having a little tagalong.

He was sick of it and could only hope the poor little thing would stop being so pitiful and go home soon.

Until one day, Shen Jinzhou came home from school and saw an empty sofa.

He panicked, searching everywhere, but couldn't find the poor little thing.

Then he was told that the Wen family had overcome their crisis and come to take Wen Zhi home. At last, no one would be following him around anymore.

Only then did Shen Jinzhou realize that maybe he hadn't disliked the poor little thing all that much.

At least, when she softly called him "big brother," she was pretty... cute.

Seeing the girl coming and going around campus with another guy drove Shen Jinzhou crazy with jealousy.

The young master who had always been so arrogant spoke in a pleading voice. "Zhizhi, can we be together?"

"Didn't you say you liked Big Brother Jinzhou best?"

Wen Zhi just gave him a faint look and said softly, "Aren't I just a tagalong?"
