The second installment of Did the Bat Hear That Today? You can read it without having read the previous story.
If heroes are destined to meet
Will they become each other's shadows, or light that breaks through the darkness?
When Bruce Wayne's notebook is filled with plans to defend against an invasion from a parallel universe,
Tony Stark tosses him a file: "You missed this part." It is a video from when they were ten, hiding in the woods at Wayne Manor and promising to "change the world together."
Steve Rogers raises his glass to Clark Kent:
"Here's to our control freaks and egomaniacs... Without them, the universe would have been destroyed long ago."
When heroes from two worlds are forced to share a room:
- Superman and Thor chat on the roof as Thor casually opens a can: "Do you Kryptonians have a 'Ragnarok' too?"
- Wonder Woman charges into battle with Black Widow slung over her shoulder: "Hold on tight, Spider-Man." Natasha: "...I hate super strength."
- The "science experiment" livestream by The Flash and Spider-Man blows up the kitchen, and both of them are grounded.
- Hawkeye, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern face off in an "Archer's Hell" showdown. Hal cheats with his Green Lantern ring, so the other two team up to teach him a lesson.
- The multiverse will ultimately become an unknown variable. This time, Batman is no longer alone.
