Near the end of the legendary war, the souls of the dead and the wrath of the God of Ruin accumulated without end, becoming hooks and ropes that dangled into the underworld and hoisted up a dead newborn.
Thus, the newly born Varianto donned the helmet bestowed by the God of Ruin. With a body granted by the dead, he walked the earth, answering humanity's pleas.
Since his birth, Varianto has answered every cry for help within sight, yet has never desired to rule.
World, do you feel regret? Be grateful instead!
'All of you, remember this!
'My name is Tristram Varianto. I am one who longs to protect everything and foolishly wishes to answer every cry for help, and one who has sworn loyalty to the King Who Has Yet to Be!
'I am this world's necessary dreamer!'
