[Quirky, incredibly strong younger sister x seemingly proper, self-restrained crown prince]
As crown prince, Xie Yanbing had a lifelong rival: the Duke of Wei's legitimate son, who was also his study companion.
One excelled at letters, the other at martial arts, and together they were famous throughout the capital. Everyone thought the boy would become Xie Yanbing's right-hand man, but Xie Yanbing couldn't stand him. Even when the boy was his study companion, Xie Yanbing saw him as his sworn enemy.
Fortunately, the Duke of Wei was ordered to take his entire family to the frontier. Xie Yanbing never saw his study companion again.
Six years later, the border army defeated their enemy and returned to the capital in triumph to receive their rewards. The Duke of Wei's family came with them.
Over the years, Xie Yanbing had become much more mature.
He thought that even if his rival hadn't changed at all, he could still sit down and calmly share a cup of tea with him...
As if!
Staring at the young man dangling upside down outside the window, grinning at him, Xie Yanbing snapped his wolf-hair brush in two.
Calm? Absolutely not. Once he ascended the throne, he'd send this guy right back to the frontier!
Before he could figure out how to deal with him, bad news came one after another. His mother summoned him to the palace and said his father was going to arrange a marriage for him.
His future crown princess was the Duke of Wei's daughter, his sworn enemy's younger sister.
Xie Yanbing: ...Is there really no other eligible young woman in the capital?
Xie Yanbing didn't want his sworn enemy to become his brother-in-law, and he didn't want to see that face every day. The Duke of Wei's children were twins, a boy and a girl.
But he was the crown prince. He couldn't refuse.
And so, a grand wedding procession stretching for ten miles, with eight bearers carrying the bridal sedan chair.
His sworn enemy's younger sister became his crown princess.

Mu Mingyue had a secret: she liked the crown prince.
So when her twin brother became the crown prince's study companion, she bound up her hair, donned a headscarf, and took his place, staying by the crown prince's side at all times.
But their happy days didn't last. The Duke of Wei's family was ordered to the frontier to fight. Before leaving, she cornered the crown prince and told him he wasn't allowed to marry anyone until she came back.
The crown prince didn't agree. She scared him into tears.
Mu Mingyue got a beating for it, too.
Six years later, her father returned to the capital in triumph at the emperor's summons. The crown prince had remembered their promise and still hadn't married.
She was overjoyed. The first thing she did after returning to the capital was go see him. He'd grown even more handsome! She liked him even more than before.
But when he saw her, he was furious.
Mu Mingyue thought he was angry because she'd gotten drunk and caused trouble, but it didn't matter. She was back now.
They could get married, too!

A sweet story with a devoted couple and no cheating.
1. The older brother and the crown prince barely spoke. The person the crown prince saw for almost the entire story was the heroine disguised as a boy.
2. The male lead is not a crybaby.
3. After the misunderstanding is cleared up, there'll be some chasing-the-wife scenes. The heroine is naive about love and thinks they're both in love with each other.
I don't think there's anything that needs a warning, but if there is, I'll add one after I get yelled at. (??_?)?
Theme: Respect other people's wishes.
