Cicadas Sing On Through Midsummer

(Older man, two male leads, happy ending, both chaste)

The warm, enthusiastic underachiever Sang Mian x the aloof, icy top student Can Xia

*

They first met at the start of a midsummer.

"Can Xia!" That call stayed with Can Xia for a long, long time, all the way until autumn arrived.

Can Xia: the last of summer, a summer left incomplete. You are everything to me. Sang Mian: mulberries nestled in sleep, mulberry leaves drowsing through midsummer, finally falling asleep in the heart of summer.

"Sang Mian, you are the orange glow spreading across the sunset, the bright star on the horizon."

"I love you."

Can Xia is an aloof, icy top student. Sang Mian is a warm little sun and an underachiever. Their lives should never have crossed, but an accident made them the most important people in each other's lives.

"Hey, Can Xia!"

"Yeah, I'm here, Sang Mian."

"Sang Mian, you'll always be the light in my heart."

"I'll love you forever."
