Saving the Pitiful Villain (Reborn)

Ten years have passed since the first fissure opened in the earth. Everyone thought it was just an ordinary earthquake.

Ji Xing looked at the blood-soaked man by the escape pod's hatch, surrounded by a sea of blazing red light.

The man raised a hand amid the flames and sent him away. Uncontrollable fire spilled from his fingertips, consuming everything.

The escape pod hurtled backward. Ji Xing stared at the dazzling light in the abyss, his words drowned by the blood filling his mouth.

"Yi": light, brilliance, like fire.

But the name became a prophecy, a shackle that bound him for the rest of his life.

Ever since his supernatural ability awakened in childhood, Meng Yi had known the full range of human warmth and coldness. Blind and weary of the world, he cursed everything day after day.

Sitting on a bustling street, facing the last dusky sunset, Meng Yi was like a painting nearing its end.

Broken, gloomy.

He had wanted to burn this filthy, tedious world to ashes, but that day, he met his own star.

The star bent down, scattering a brilliant glow through the darkness.
