I Became a Conceptual God by Going into Debt

In the year 444 of the Blue Star calendar, every Blue Star citizen awakened an ability and was thrown into a trial space created by a higher civilization. The trials were livestreamed in real time.

Win, and the entire planet would ascend. Lose, and the entire planet would explode.

In no time, abilities were flying everywhere, and overpowered heroes, children of destiny, and destined heroines were cropping up left and right.

Only Shi Li stared blankly at the description of his ability.

[If You Don't Pay Your Debts, I'm Your Grandpa]

[Shi Li is the real grandpa: frail, a crybaby, and small down there]

Shi Li silently used the IOU book created by his ability to cover his instant noodles.

But against all expectations, in the trial instance [The Tadpoles Search for Their Mother], every top contender was defeated, and the top ten on the leaderboard met their doom.

As the world teetered on the brink of disaster, everyone saw the very last-ranked fighter clutching his ability-made object for dear life. A tiny piece of rubble grazed him, and he coughed up blood, looking close to death.

Then he tearfully stuffed the IOU into the BOSS's arms and called out at his leisure, "Where's my grandson? Hurry up and save your grandpa."

Blue Star's people: What kind of lunatic is this?

Higher civilization: Asking for death?

But the BOSS, violent and crazed, wanted to devour him one second, then used its flailing tentacles to rescue him the next.

It treasured him too much to let a breath touch him, and tucked him safely away in its pocket. He became the real grandpa.

Back at full health, Shi Li raised his middle finger at the higher civilization beings watching the livestream.

"Where's my grandson? Wait for your grandpa to come."

Blue Star's people: That's thrilling!

Higher civilization: !!
