Ji Qi thought she'd found Ying Bufo's weakness, and racked her brains to shower her with kindness.
She asked around about what Ying Bufo liked, brought her favorite drinks, accompanied her to the office, taught her to play badminton...
She was about to be moved by her own efforts. What a great and sincere friendship.
But just when she'd made huge progress and thought it was time to bow out, Ying Bufo suddenly blushed and told her she accepted her advances?
Wait...
Who said I liked you?
*
Ying Bufo thought Ji Qi had finally worked up the courage to pursue her.
She couldn't bring herself to reject Ji Qi, and could only let herself fall deeper, both indulgent and helpless.
Only when she was completely overwhelmed by desire did she realize it had all been a beautiful dream.
But by then, she could no longer escape.
Her yielding and retreating were like a trembling flower in bloom, luring someone closer step by step, wanting to pluck her and make her bloom only in their palm, where no one else could ever see her.
Or perhaps they could simply crush her petals and let the juice run between their fingers. Even broken, she would probably be beautiful.
But who could tell what trap this beauty wanted to lure them into?
All she had to do was maintain a careless, carefully measured distance, and watch the prey she desired draw closer.
Until someone special appeared, and all she wanted was to use every trick in the book to bring them to her side.
Then she would willingly let herself be plucked.
If she was a flower, she had never wanted to pluck someone and transplant them into her own soil.
She only wanted her to bloom forever, never to have another woman break her spirit.
The characters aren't perfect, but both of them are adorable!
Almost all the positive characters with significant roles are women. There are no side couples of any kind.
Ji Qi is more forward at first, and later Ying Bufo will have a brief, mild chasing-the-love-interest-too-late arc.
(Not angsty, but a very satisfying flirtation-and-pursuit arc.)
Just a simple little story to lift your spirits OvO

"Online Dating, But I Don't Want to Reveal My Identity"
Possessive, dark, and pretending to be sweet x clear-headed, falling hard, and full of surprises
Younger love interest / All-female world / One-on-one, both pure and each other's first love, romance between women
Lin Juanxu was online dating a clingy younger student.
She was quite pleased with the other girl.
She knew when to stop with her coy, sweet behavior, and was always just right in how much she shared about her day.
So even though Lin Juanxu didn't think she liked her that much, she was willing to keep chatting, just to add a little fun to her otherwise dull life.
Until Zhong Ranyin showed up in front of her, wearing the pretty clothes she'd sent Lin Juanxu pictures of, and became her direct junior at university.
Lin Juanxu thought it was about time to end things.
But then she grew curious.
Everything she'd told her online dating partner, including her birthday, school, and major, had been fake.
If she got close to her using her real identity, would Zhong Ranyin recognize her?
She was giving Zhong Ranyin just one chance to win her heart.
-
Zhong Ranyin had no idea why Lin Juanxu thought she wouldn't recognize her.
At first, she even thought the other girl was just flirting, so she played along and indulged her.
Until her senior seemed to invite her on a date. She thought the older girl had finally had enough of playing around.
They spent the day hand in hand, and her senior even placed a gentle kiss on her cheek and asked if she liked her.
Like her? She'd always liked her.
She had been patiently waiting for her senior to come clean, but the first thing that arrived was what looked like a breakup message.
Well, she'd had enough of playing around.
Fine, then.
-
"Do you know what I was thinking when I got your breakup text, big sister?"
Lin Juanxu lowered her eyes and looked at her with moist, misty eyes. Her voice trembled.
"What were you thinking?"
"Try saying we're breaking up again, and you'll find out."
