Ying Qiu lost both her parents at the age of eight and went to live with her aunt. The boy next door was a kind big brother.
The first time they met, he wore an impeccable smile as he ruffled her hair and told her to knock on his door if she ever needed help. He even gave her a fruit-flavored lollipop, the sort only little kids like.
Ying Qiu went home and threw it in the trash.
She didn't like candy, and she didn't like him.
Later, her aunt's whole family moved away, leaving her behind. Nine-year-old Ying Qiu couldn't even reach the rice cooker's plug and had no idea how to pay the utility bills. To make sure she survived long enough to grow up, she knocked on the neighbor's door, looking as serious as a little old lady. “Hey! Here's your chance to do a good deed. Take care of me until I'm an adult. I'll pay you back when I'm rich.”
Only after she finished speaking did Ying Qiu notice the mourning band around his arm. She recognized it because she'd worn one herself.
He crouched down and looked up at Ying Qiu with a smile, so fragile it seemed it might break. “All right. I'll take care of you.”
From then on, Ying Qiu formed an opinion: the big brother next door was a bleeding-heart saint who would agree to anything she asked.

Everyone knows Sheng Yubai is a sister-complex maniac.
He goes on and on about his little sister all day, sends her eight hundred messages a day, and asks her about everything. He'd probably even ask her what color underwear he should wear tomorrow. His coworker couldn't take it anymore. “Man, calling you a sister-complex is putting it mildly. Anyone who didn't know better would think she's the most important person in your life.”
Sheng Yubai smiled brightly. “She always has been.”
Coworker: “...”
Sheng Yubai thought that if he did his duty as an older brother properly, he could stay with Ying Qiu forever. But Ying Qiu turned out to be a Beta, while he was an Omega who needed an Alpha to soothe him.
All he could do was try his hardest to be the perfect older brother, using that role to keep by her side without her knowing.
He never expected Ying Qiu to make an even more outrageous demand…
Gloomy, dry-humored yandere little sister x perfect-to-the-point-of-falsehood saintly older brother
Reader's guide:
1. The male lead is eight years older than the female lead!! He is not her adoptive brother! They aren't even pretend siblings! He's just the overly compassionate good guy next door!
2. The female lead's mental health test scores are way above normal. She thinks she's normal, but she's actually not. She's dark but not damp, and she's even very straightforward about it, hence “dry.”
3. Written on a whim, with some original worldbuilding, but no Beta-to-Alpha or Omega-to-Beta plot. The female lead is a genuine Beta, and the male lead is a genuine Omega.
4. Updates follow the rankings.
