Xiang Yuheng is badly injured and races through the countryside, evading pursuers, before stumbling into a shabby thatched hut.

He doesn't expect anyone to be inside.

He lights a fire starter and barks, “Who's there? Come out!”

After a rustling sound, a round-faced girl crawls out of a corner.

She looks timidly at him. “I'm sorry. I had nowhere else to go, so I hid here. I won't take up space for nothing. I can work to pay you back.”

His leg is badly injured, and he needs someone to look after him. After a brief moment's thought, he nods. “Very well. You can stay for now. I can't get around for the next few days, so you can take care of me.”

The little girl sweetly gives him her name. “I'm Yan Chaolu. What about you?”

He has just been in danger and doesn't dare reveal his real name. After a moment's thought, he casually comes up with what he thinks is a rather poetic alias: “Xiang Wanzhou.”

Yan Chaolu thinks it over, then declares with utter confidence, “Your Five Elements are short on water.”

Xiang Yuheng is taken aback. “How do you figure that?”
