[Zichuan] Since We Parted, I’ve Longed for Our Reunion

"Partridge Sky," by Yan Jidao

With colorful sleeves, you tenderly raised the jade cup; back then, I gladly drank until my face flushed. The moon sank behind the willows above the tower as you danced; your song ended, and the breeze stirred beneath the peach-blossom fan.

Since we parted, I have longed to meet again. How many times have our souls met in dreams? Tonight, I lift the silver lamp once more, still afraid that our reunion is only a dream.

Since we parted, I have longed to meet again. Ever since we said goodbye, I have always wished we could meet again.

Different people see different sides of Di Lin: his superiors, his subordinates, his enemies, his brothers...

P.S. Most of it follows the original story, with some fictional parts mixed in... [You've got that backwards, haven't you?!]
