Passing Years

You know I'm leaving. Some people understand, and some don't. So much that can never be regained is not just time, drifting away from my side, unhurried and aimless. You have never experienced it because you have never put yourself in someone else's shoes. You still don't understand those choices that leave you looking for every possible way out. Maybe only those who have been through it know the pain of youth. Everything you have yet to try feels insufficient, as if desire is burning through your blood. So much of the youthful recklessness you once took in stride has now blossomed all along the way, with smiles.

This era may seem cold, but it also hides many tender stories. These fleeting years came to an end amid the passage of time, not because time moved too quickly or was too short, but because those years rushed by. Painful times always seem long, while happy times always seem short. People often say that life has no end, and we always think the changes that lie ahead are worth looking forward to. So why can't being together still be a story?
