When Su Xue was in pain and helpless, Qi Huaijin appeared at her side like a hero, solving all her problems. He took her out late at night to put a sack over her awful boss's head, and gave her the dog she'd always wanted...
Su Xue, who had never been chosen or loved, fell madly in love with him.
Until she heard someone say that she was just a little plaything he kept around...
In a panic, Su Xue went to find him. "We love each other. We're boyfriend and girlfriend. What they said about me being a plaything you keep around isn't true, is it?"
Qi Huaijin looked surprised at her question. His voice remained gentle, but his eyes were indifferent. "I thought you knew. I'm sorry. Did I do something to make you misunderstand?"
Su Xue froze, completely at a loss. Rigid with shock, she heard him speak in that same gentle tone, saying words that plunged her into an icy abyss: if she wanted to leave, he could give her compensation she would be satisfied with.
Terrified, Su Xue's teeth chattered. Unable to say a word, she could only cling to his immaculate shirt and shake her head. She didn't want to leave him! She didn't want compensation!
Through her tear-blurred vision, she seemed to see a look of knowing contempt and indifference in his starry eyes.
Her slender body shuddered, as if her surrender today meant she was destined for countless painful days to come.

Qi Huaijin didn't think the canary he sheltered beneath his wings would ever be willing to leave. She was just a bargaining chip to make him give in. But later, when he saw her loving eyes turn toward another man, his gentle, elegant mask cracked piece by piece, and he went completely mad...
After a chaotic frenzy,
Qi Huaijin reached out to stroke her soft, fair face, his tone threatening. "Today was your first time being intimate with him, wasn't it? You two were never together before, right?"
The man had an exceptionally handsome, refined face. Now his narrow eyes were bloodshot as he stared at her.
Su Xue slapped his hand away and threw her head back, laughing as if she'd heard the funniest joke in the world.
When she finished laughing, she looked at him with open malice. "I got together with him the day I went back with you. Why would you think my being intimate with my actual boyfriend depends on how long we've been dating?"
Qi Huaijin's pupils contracted like a snake's, and his face went blank. His thin lips parted as he insisted, "Impossible. You're lying to me."
Then, without waiting for Su Xue to respond, he turned and walked straight out.
Su Xue glared bitterly at his back.
Unseen by her, Qi Huaijin's steps had turned stiff, and tears slipped soundlessly down his face.

Reading Guide
1. Both leads have only been with each other. Happy ending.
2. An old-school "win her back after losing her" story, with angst for both the female and male leads. If this isn't your thing, don't force yourself to read it. Please discuss reasonably.
My next novel: "After the Heir Apparent Cast Me Aside". If you're interested, please add it to your favorites! (Heart)
A foolish beggar girl fell in love with a high-and-mighty heir apparent. Even after he abandoned her, she stubbornly crossed a thousand miles, enduring every hardship, to find him in the capital.
She burst into a banquet at the prince's manor and did something that astonished everyone: she went straight to the heir apparent, seated in the place of honor, noble and dazzling as a jade tree.
She tugged at his sleeve and gazed up at him, demanding an answer. "Why did you leave?"
The elegant heir apparent pulled his sleeve from her grasp, put an arm around his beautiful concubine, and smiled faintly. "I just got tired of staying with you in that hovel."
The beggar girl's slender, pale hand hung frozen in midair. She tilted her head to look at him, her fair face full of confusion.
Laughter rose around the banquet, mocking her for a toad who thought it could eat swan meat.
The beggar girl was dragged out of the Duke's manor by the attendants. As she left, she struggled to turn around and look at him one last time.
The heir apparent's long-fingered hand was wrapped around his beautiful concubine. He smiled casually and chatted with those around him, not sparing her another glance...
On the day the beggar girl left the capital, thunder cracked across the clear sky. Dark clouds swept in, and torrential rain poured down.
The heir apparent had died...
The beggar girl clutched his corpse and wept bitterly, torn between hatred and grief.
She hated him so much... and grieved that she would never see him again...
The reborn beggar girl took out her resentment on the heir apparent. As she kept tormenting him, she ended up being elevated to empress...
1. Both leads have only been with each other.
2. A redemption story with a win-her-back element.

"The God of War Husband Went Mad After Her Death": both leads are reborn; the glorious and upright God of War is reborn as sinister and vicious
Theme: Keep moving forward. A wider sky awaits beyond.
Good guy, is there still a need for reconciliation?
It smells like ancient dog blood, not bad
The second male lead is much better than the male lead
Wow, this is a great twist.
If you continue to abuse the male protagonist, you won't stop abusing him from here on, right?
It's quite interesting to read the copywriting. I saw the two parts. Is it a scam? I thought there was a second male lead [crying with laughter]
Big, come on!!!!!
It ends here. Alas, my little mood is neither good nor bad. I hope you don't ask for leave today.
