The ancient clan's goddess, Xi, diligently cultivates her powers to protect her people. When she reaches a bottleneck, she sends a fragment of her spirit into the mortal world to undergo tribulations.
Thousands of years later, when the goddess emerges from seclusion, she discovers that the separated fragment has still not returned.
So she crosses realms to find her other self.
But the fragment has become entangled in love and refuses to leave with her.
Seeing her hesitation, Xi reassures her:
“I'll lead you out of the abyss and show you another world.”
