For the plot to progress, Chen Miao has to bully the male lead according to the story. Otherwise, he'll be forced to act out those scenes against his will.

The next, having regained control of his body, Chen Miao stops himself and gently brushes the male lead's cheek.

One second, Chen Miao has just splashed water on a chair and is about to burst out laughing.
The next, back in control, he grabs tissues from the table and scrubs the water off the chair with all his might!
System: Host, you're supposed to be an early-stage minor villain!
Chen Miao (expressionless): I am a villain, but I don't want to die!

Chen Miao looks at the weak, pitiful, innocent male lead before him, feels a pang of sympathy, and resolves to protect him. He looks forward to the male lead helping him rise to fame and fortune someday.
The lackeys behind him, who have actually been bullied to a pulp: Boss, open your eyes and look properly. He's clearly bullied us way worse!
Much later, Chen Miao lies pinned to the bed, unable to get up, with two streams of tears rolling down his face: Damn it. Turns out I'm the pitiful one!
