Searching Far and Wide

The title is a bit clichéd.

The story might be clichéd too, and it might be dull. I'm new to writing, so please be kind and don't throw too many eggs at me. :-)

The story begins in old Shanghai in the 1930s. I'm still planning it, but it will eventually move on to Hong Kong and perhaps other places as well. A lot of the details haven't been decided yet, and I don't even know if I'll finish it.
