HP: In the Name of Justice

At the start of the twentieth century, after the Anglo-Irish War,

the 26 southern counties of Ireland formed the Irish Free State.

The six northern counties remained part of the United Kingdom,

and became known as Northern Ireland.

But this was not the beginning of peace.

The Troubles.

Since the 1960s, violent conflict between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland has continued to escalate.

The divisions caused by ethnicity, faith, and politics seem impossible to reconcile.

And, of course, there is the hatred built up over many years.

By coincidence, the magical world is much the same.

People fear and hate those on the other side.

Across the peace line,

(the divide separating Catholic Irish and Protestant communities in Belfast)

or across the street from the Leaky Cauldron.

In 1976, with war threatening to erupt at any moment from violent conflict,

a Muggle-born girl from Northern Ireland crossed paths with Regulus, a pure-blood wizard from England.

One was determined to join the Irish Republican Army,

while the other was preparing to join the Death Eaters.

Both intended to carry out terrorist attacks, using bloodshed to strike fear into the other side.

"I know that I shall meet my fate somewhere

Among the clouds above;

Those that I fight I do not hate,

Those that I guard I do not love."

Perhaps they share a radical sense of purpose.

Perhaps there is a hidden kindness between them.

But an irreconcilable divide always stands between them...

This is a story about division and violence, freedom and justice.

Aiming for a happy ending, but no promises: this refers to the romance between the male and female leads.

Everyone survives.

All Muggle characters from this period are fictional. Please do not mistake them for historical figures.
