After an accident, Fu Yuancen and Gu Wan pretend to be a married couple.
At first, Fu Yuancen looks down on his fake wife, assuming she is playing hard to get.
But gradually, he realizes that there is never a shortage of admirers around her.
He's just a dog nobody likes.
One rainy day, Fu Yuancen comes to the school to pick Gu Wan up and runs into a rival in love.
The rival smiles and deliberately moves closer to Gu Wan, asking, "Who is this guy staring at us?"
Gu Wan glances at him coolly, knowing he is asking a question he already knows the answer to. Still, she looks at Fu Yuancen with a faint smile and says in a cold voice, "Just a neighbor who kindly lent me an umbrella."
Fu Yuancen's expression instantly turns ugly.
Like a dog caught in the rain, he looks utterly wretched, stripped of every trace of his usual dignity.
The main story is told from the shou's perspective. The shou is a womanizer and a magnet for admirers. Fu Yuancen is the official gong.
There are cannon-fodder gongs. The shou has slept with many gongs, and there are lots of jealousy-fueled confrontations. All the gongs are dogs.
