Xue Yubai reached the peak of his career the moment he debuted and was hailed as a once-in-a-generation mid-lane prodigy. But under pressure from his family, he knew he couldn't stay on this path for long.

He found a promising young talent in the academy team and carefully trained him. He entrusted his esports dream to the kid, guiding him step by step to the championship, while he himself fell for him little by little.

But after the kid won the championship, he was dragged into a storm of public opinion because of Xue Yubai.

Xue Yubai thought it was time to leave.

Mu Si's esports dream wasn't just to win the championship. He wanted to beat Xue Yubai and take the title. He remembered what the fans told him: You have to earn your place at the top of the relationship yourself.

On the day they won, he took the bet they'd made earlier and confessed to Xue Yubai, only to learn that Xue Yubai had retired under family pressure because he hadn't won the championship. His world came crashing down.

When he found out that he'd won only because the opposing team had taken money to throw the match, Mu Si was overwhelmed with guilt. In the end, he chose to switch positions.

Just before the promotion match, their bot lane player was betrayed, and everyone gave up. Only Mu Si picked up the phone.

"Want to play again? I'll get you the championship, guaranteed. I still owe you an FMVP, and I haven't paid you back."

This time, Xue Yubai chose to follow his heart. He took his lover's hand and stood beneath the golden rain.

This was a championship they won together.

A little bonus scene:

The team's social media manager chases Mu Si all around the training facility, trying to film a makeover video. Mu Si refuses outright, then lowers his head and bumps into Xue Yubai, who has just come through the door.

"What's going on?" Xue Yubai asks.

"He promised the fans an ab workout for reaching a million followers! Now he's refusing to do it!" the manager complains.

"I'll take care of it."

Xue Yubai leads Mu Si into the training room. The door closes and locks, and a passionate kiss follows. It's so long and intense that Mu Si has to hang onto Xue Yubai's neck to stay upright.

"Are you willing to film it now?" Xue Yubai's voice is low and gentle.

Mu Si's hand slowly slides down to the metal buckle. "I'll do it, but you're taking yours off too."
