On the TV broadcast, a boy in a black-and-orange uniform leapt into the air.

His powerful hit pierced the “high wall” and slammed onto the gymnasium floor.

Hinata felt a summons like fate. He heard the commentator shout:

“Little Giant.”

Riding his thin, battered bicycle, he crossed one mountain after another.

Sneaking out without telling his family, Hinata finally arrived at Karasuno Prefectural High School.

“I’ll just take a quick look,” Hinata muttered as he searched his way to the school gym.

The squeak of volleyball shoes, the thud of the ball hitting the floor, the players talking and interacting with one another...

Trying to contain his excitement, Hinata huddled by the doorway and searched the gym with his eyes for that dazzling figure.

“Hey, you little squirt over there.”

The orange-haired boy turned around in alarm.

“Where’d you come from? What are you doing here?”

It was... the Little Giant.
