*Empress
When Liu Yu, the daughter of a great general, turned eighteen, the emperor welcomed her into the palace as his second empress.
On their wedding night, she waited in vain for the emperor to arrive. Instead, a female ghost came to her in Ganquan Hall, the empress's residence.
The ghost's figure was faint, her features indistinct. She spoke with a smile and taught Liu Yu how to survive in the treacherous palace.
They got along wonderfully. It didn't matter that the ghost had no memories of her life; Liu Yu still liked her very much and regarded her as a close friend.
Until one day, she saw the ghost's breathtakingly beautiful face and suddenly understood who she had been in life.
Everyone knew the emperor had a beloved first wife named Lu Fuyi.
The late empress, Lu Fuyi, had beauty that could surpass the world, dazzling all beneath the heavens. The emperor fell for her at first sight and promised her his kingdom.
After Lu Fuyi died of illness, the emperor was overcome with grief and suspended court for three months.
But that was ten years ago.
But how could this be? Only those who died unjustly linger in this world, unable to be reborn.
