After My Morbidly Obsessive Brother Took an Interest in Me

Sweet story | Not related by blood

Jiang Zhouxue was born into the family of a prime minister through reincarnation. On the day she was born, she watched as a midwife carried a swaddled baby in from outside and placed the infant beside her.

Everyone in the imperial capital knew that the prime minister's household had both a son and a daughter, a sure sign of good fortune.

Jiang Zhouxue had long been in love with someone: her distant cousin, Shen Jincheng. But when she came of age at fifteen, the emperor ordered her to be selected as a secondary consort to the crown prince.

Everyone in the capital knew the crown prince had poor character. But disobeying the emperor's decree was a grave offense that could bring punishment upon her entire clan.

She was miserable every day, yet had no choice but to accept the crown prince's invitations. She felt deeply guilty toward Shen Jincheng.

One night, her elder brother Jiang Gui knocked on her door and promised her:

"I won't let you marry a man like him."

She thought her brother was taking action for Shen Jincheng. But when she learned the crown prince had fallen unconscious and went to Jiang Gui to ask why, he pulled her into his arms and pinned her to the bed, the scent of sandalwood filling her nostrils.

The brother who had once doted on her now seemed like a wolf. His eyes were deep as he gazed intently at her.

His lingering kisses left her breathless. In her panic, she struck her brother in the face, but he only chuckled and took her hand, pressing it to his lips. "Zhouxue can only be my wife. The crown prince is out of the question, and Shen Jincheng is even less worthy."
