My Boyfriend Is a Baseball Idiot

I lost a game of Truth or Dare, the most cliché game there is,

and accepted an even more cliché dare: confess to the next person who walked into the classroom.

Then Yamamoto walked in with a sunny smile.

"Ahahaha, is this role-play? Sure!"

Me: ?

Sure, my foot!

And that's how I got a boyfriend who liked to role-play.

After playing this weird game for a while, I decided it wasn't right. After all, a lot of the girls who liked Yamamoto had their hearts broken.

Me: Yamamoto, should we end the role-play?

Yamamoto: Huh? But I'm serious.

Me: All right, then.

Sorry to all the heartbroken girls. I've gotten used to having a boyfriend who's a baseball idiot and spends more time with his male friends than with me...

As if I'd ever get used to that!

Me: Yamamoto, if Sawada and I fell into the water at the same time, who would you save first?

Yamamoto: ...

Ha. He actually hesitated.

The next day, the baseball idiot came to find me with a sunny smile. "I'd save you first. I already talked Sawada into learning how to swim yesterday."

Me: ...

You know, you're surprisingly nice.

All in all, our relationship was going pretty normally, until one day my long-lost father came home and told me that he was a member of an Italian mafia organization.

Then he bowed respectfully to my boyfriend. "The Rain Guardian."

Fine, another role-play game, right? I'll play along.

* The heroine is the snarky type.

* A lighthearted, everyday romance.

Theme: Youth is one big role-playing game.
