After losing her memory, Ming Xi is told two things:
Her name isn’t Ming Xi. She is Ming Qi, a female assassin entrusted with an important mission by her organization.
Her mission is to disguise herself as a bewitching undercover agent and assassinate the powerful, ruthless Prince of Jingbei.
Ming Xi, looking like Benbo Erba.jpg: “Huh? Me?” 😧
After losing her memory, Ming Xi has forgotten all her martial arts. She can’t lift anything heavy or even handle herself, and is terrified that the organization will discover she’s actually useless and kill her. All she can do is shakily raise her knife and promise to complete the mission.
She infiltrates the Prince of Jingbei’s residence as a beauty and wins his favor with her looks. Meanwhile, the organization keeps sending her missions.
Mission One: Poison the Prince of Jingbei’s wine.
Ming Xi thinks that’s a bad idea. The prince likes to feed her himself. What if he poisons her too?
Mission Two: Slit the prince’s throat while he’s asleep.
Ming Xi still can’t do it. She isn’t allowed to bring anything into the bedroom, and she can’t even wear clothes. How is she supposed to hide a knife?
The organization has no choice but to give her one final ultimatum:
Drug the Prince of Jingbei and make him die from sexual exhaustion!
Ming Xi: I’m working on it. Let’s see how it goes... 🥰
But as Ming Xi waits, the prince doesn’t die from sexual exhaustion. Instead, her belly grows bigger by the day.
Ming Xi tearfully tries to return to the organization, only for the man to block her path and corner her against the wall. “You can’t just seduce me and run off. Who says you can get away with that?”
Ming Xi and her baby are trapped in the prince’s residence. Before she knows it, she’s become the princess consort and is being spoiled rotten.
Ming Xi: I’ve let the organization down 🤭
Reader advisory: The heroine has amnesia, but she isn’t the assassin. The assassin is someone else.
