During the last Quidditch Match of seventh year, Claire was hit by a ball Sirius sent flying and ended up in the Hospital Wing. From that day on, she began having frequent hallucinations.

The visions showed her figures from the future: a black-haired, green-eyed boy who looked remarkably like James flashed past her eyes.

She heard voices from the future: different people calling out "Harry," "Hermione," and "Ron" in her ear.

Even when she read a newspaper, she would mistake the headline for Sirius's wanted notice, dated August 1993.

She thought she must be seriously ill. Her friend Lily also urged her to return to the Hospital Wing for another head examination. She went, but the examination was no help at all. The hallucinations continued until graduation.

On the final day before graduation, Sirius arranged to meet her at the Astronomy Tower.

She arrived on time, but Sirius never showed. Instead, a sudden bout of dizziness sent her transmigrating to 1993 in the blink of an eye.

The future and the scenes from her hallucinations overlapped perfectly.

Lily and James had already been killed. Sirius was a wanted fugitive who had escaped from prison. Her former friends were all covered in scars, and she herself had been missing for fifteen years.
