A story about two childhood friends who were separated for various reasons and reunite years later.
The protagonist was born in a small town, into a somewhat broken family. His life was as calm as still water. He had always been quiet, fond of the sunset just before it disappeared, a corner of an abandoned factory, and the long shadows people cast beneath streetlights. Though perfectly ordinary, he somehow sensed from childhood that he was different from everyone else.
He lived mired in the muck of his birth family. Nothing ever happened, yet without realizing it, he sank deeper and deeper. Fortunately, a ray of light appeared in his childhood.
The person who brought him that light came and went, but even during their brief time together, the strength he gave him remained. That person set the protagonist on a path of self-growth and redemption, and he gradually grew into someone dazzling.
Years later, when they met again, the little sun who had once lit up his life had become a sinister, terrifying beast. Seeing the person in his memories and the person before him as impossible to reconcile broke the protagonist's heart.

Theme: In elementary school, the protagonist meets his best friend and gains a goal, a dream, and courage. Though he faces hardship, he never gives up. Little by little, he is influenced by this ray of light and grows stronger. Years later, he meets the little sun from his childhood memories again, only to find that its light has dimmed. Heartbroken, he resolves to pull his friend out of the mire, just as he was once saved as a child. And so the story begins...
