Winter's Wake

One of a pair of twin flowers must surely wither for the other to go on living. But is that really true? They love each other deeply. Born in different timelines, the twins meet and are reunited. By chance, at dawn on the anniversary of their deaths, the two make the same wish in their respective timelines: to see each other again. Their wish comes true, and they meet in an instance of a horror game. Overjoyed, they still have to think about how to escape their predicament. In that moment, the twin flowers bloom together, radiant and dazzling. They join forces, clear one instance after another, and eventually return to the worlds they originally belonged to. Though it is still that winter night, still that anniversary, everything feels so real and yet so unreal. Now they both know that twin flowers cannot share a life, but they can coexist, and each still has the other.

Theme: Break the traditional premise of twin flowers and take it further: they can live in harmony instead of loving and killing each other.
