Reborn, I Traded Acting Blows with the General

Masterful Green Tea Princess Heroine VS Long-Plotting, Smoldering Hero

(Reborn / Mutual Disguises / She Runs, He Chases / Teaming Up to Crush Scumbags / Extreme Romantic Tension)

The Heroine’s Story

In her previous life, Song Chuxi was a princess despised by everyone in the kingdom. Her father treated her with cold indifference, and her mother ignored her, too. At last, she married a husband and thought she had found the right man.

But then,

her ex-husband turned around and led an army to destroy her country!

On the day the capital fell and its gates were breached, the first imperial decree issued by the man who had once shared her bed was an order for her to take her own life.

*

When Song Chuxi opened her eyes again, she had returned to three years before the tragedy. This time, she swore to rewrite her ending.

So

She set her sights on her former husband’s sworn enemy, the cold-faced general He Xingfeng. He was renowned, invincible, bloodthirsty, and merciless, a god of war in everyone’s eyes.

She promptly decided to cozy up to He Xingfeng, offering him high office and generous rewards, sending gold and jewels, and using both kindness and intimidation... She tried every trick in the book.

But the man was impervious to all of it!

A thought crossed Song Chuxi’s mind:

What about my beauty, then?

He Xingfeng: (づ￣3￣)づ╭?~

Song Chuxi: ???

Who would have thought this guy was actually a lecher?

The Hero’s Story

He Xingfeng was a celebrated war hero who made his name at a young age. Across the whole continent, everyone knew of his legend as an undefeated warrior.

But no one knew that he clung to life for one reason alone: to clear his parents’ names.

Until someone entered his dark, lightless world without warning.

For a moment, it seemed he could see spring sunshine

“General... please help me...”

“I hope you live to be a hundred, General...”

“I have a little crush on you, General...”

From the very first moment he saw Song Chuxi, He Xingfeng saw through her act.

So be it. She liked it that way

[He knows every part of her plan, yet willingly steps into her game to help her see it through. He knows she is acting, yet still plays along.]

A little scene:

Song Chuxi: “General He, you know I’m using you.”

“Mm. So how does Your Highness plan to make it up to me?” He Xingfeng clasped Song Chuxi around the waist and kissed her beside the ear. “How about... paying me with your beauty?”

Coming soon: The Lazy One Rises to the Top Among Villains

Possessive pursuit / Planned seduction / Coercive love / Redemption / Younger man

Seven years ago, an order from the military command.

Commander Chu Shiyan made a mistake in her strategy,

and three armies were trapped on Kelan Mountain, where over a thousand soldiers perished at Heifeng Stronghold.

The court was enraged, and all the blame fell on her.

Everyone believed Chu Shiyan had died that winter.

Seven years later, a men’s embroidery shop opened in Shitang Town, Yongjia Prefecture.

A shop hiring male embroiderers was already scandalous.

What drew even more scorn was the sight of a group of grown men

threading needles and stitching phoenixes and mandarin ducks day after day.

Neighbors gossiped behind their backs,

saying the men must be homosexual,

and that the shop’s proprietress was an immoral woman.

Though the shop’s embroidery was excellent, few people would enter the alley,

considering the place disreputable.

But no one knew

that Chu Shiyan, who should have been executed by beheading after the autumn harvest, was the owner of this shop.

The trouble began at the wedding banquet of the wealthiest family in Shitang Town, the Chens.

As the guests drank and mingled,

the local magistrate died under suspicious circumstances.

His symptoms matched those in the unsolved case of the Ministry of War’s Minister of Personnel, who had been poisoned seven years earlier.

Chu Shiyan had been at the banquet delivering wedding cloth and was detained at the magistrate’s residence for questioning.

The first person to recognize her was the person she least wanted to see in this life.

Before she could flee, a pair of hands reached around her from behind. Carrying a strong scent of medicinal herbs, they pinned her against the embroidery frame.

The man wore a dark red brocade robe. His face was as beautiful as jade, yet a crazed obsession lurked in his eyes.

He was Pei Jichuan, the renowned physician known throughout the land.

His eyes lifted slightly as he bent close to her ear and whispered, each word audible only to the two of them:

“Have you forgotten what you did to me that night seven years ago?”

Reader’s Guide:

1. 1v1, both leads have no past romantic or sexual partners. Note: The heroine forces her love on the hero at first, then the roles reverse. The hero engages in coercive love, confinement, and bondage. The heroine is five years older than the hero. Please proceed with caution if that bothers you.

2. Alternate history, with some inspiration from the Ming dynasty.

3. “Everyone is evil” refers to the political scheming, which is not a major focus and mostly appears in the heroine’s earlier life.

One-line pitch: Who wants to kneel in the ancestral hall? I want to marry her at the family altar.
