Veterinarian Jiang Chunmian transmigrates into the foolish daughter of a pig farmer, and has to flee famine with the whole family as soon as she arrives.
The road is long, and to save their son, her father and stepmother actually trade her to the village guards for food.
Jiang Chunmian manages to escape by sheer luck. She gathers supplies and treats livestock;
she sets up a veterinary tent for farm animals and teaches people to read and identify poisonous plants.
Along the way, she unexpectedly rescues Ao Wang, who is surrounded by bandits.
With no survival skills to speak of, she watches the man shoot birds with stones, fell trees to make a cart, and lift her one-handed into a tree to escape wolves. He reaches out and says, “Hi. Let’s travel together!”
After three thousand li on the road fleeing famine and two thousand li by boat along the river, they finally arrive months later, battered by hardship and many detours.
Jiang Chunmian gazes at the fortress homes built into the mountainside, the herds of yaks beneath the snow-covered peaks, the Tibetan sheep, the Huang River fish, and the people of Qian who travel everywhere on horseback. Her eyes sparkle. She knew this was the right place for her!
Ao Wang was a strong young soldier who had left the battlefield. He returned home expecting to reunite with his family,
but never imagined his hometown would be struck by locusts, leaving nine out of every ten homes deserted. He has no choice but to set out in search of his relatives.
Ambushed by bandits on the way, he nearly dies far from home, but is saved by a girl riding a wild boar.
He thought she must be some extraordinary expert, but she turns out to be a good-for-nothing who doesn’t even know how to stay alive.
He isn’t the sort to forget a kindness, so he agrees to take her along and teach her how to survive in the wild.

Coming soon: “The Kitchen Maid Only Wants to Save Money and Run Away.” Please add it to your favorites
After Xu Suihe dies of illness, she unexpectedly transmigrates into the daughter of a merchant.
To repay his enormous gambling debts, her biological father sells his wife and daughter to the Pei family as servants.
On the night they enter the household, Xu Suihe’s mother, unable to bear the humiliation, jumps down a well with her newly arrived daughter in her arms.
If the eldest young master of the Pei family hadn’t gotten up in the middle of the night to find something to eat, she would have died all over again.
Looking at the mistress of the household, who is sweet-tongued but vicious, and Pei Zhou, who is just as hungry as she is, Xu Suihe grits her teeth.
She’ll take this kitchen-maid job for now. It comes with meals, lodging, and wages.
While others covet the household’s power and luxury and urge her to get into a master’s bed, she can think only of getting out as soon as possible.
Once she has saved enough money to buy her freedom and repaid Pei Zhou for saving her life, she leaves the household.
Pushing a handcart, she sets up a charcoal stove and wok on the streets and starts a little food stall. It’s a small business, but she makes a fortune, counting money until her hands cramp each night.
She opens a little eatery beside the academy in the north of the city and feeds several struggling students every day. Just as she’s wondering which one to choose as a husband, word arrives that the eldest young master of the Pei family, said to have died in battle, has returned.
Little Scene:
One day, someone comes to her door claiming to be a relative.
Xu Suihe flips through the account books without looking up. “Throw them out!”
“Don’t hit me! I’m your father!”
Pei Zhou, who has stolen a shop assistant’s job, stands before the counter. “Lady Xu, I’ve come today to ask for your hand in marriage too.”
Xu Suihe gapes at the trunks behind him, tied with red silk. “What marriage?”
“Yours and mine.” Pei Zhou turns to look at the students she supports. “After you saved my life, shouldn’t I repay you by marrying you?”
“You said we were even!”
“But back then, you helped me get out of…”
Xu Suihe rises onto her tiptoes to cover his mouth. Ugh, he’s grown taller and stronger. She can’t cover it at all, and instead ends up falling into his arms.
Reader’s Guide:
1. Both leads are devoted to each other; one-on-one romance.
2. A fictional setting. Ingredients are included as the plot requires, so please don’t nitpick.

The best family members on the stall have enough to endure [cheek support]
Is there something wrong with the system? The chapters I bought before that I just entered v have become unbought.
It's so exciting. The author is awesome🐂
The author, please give me a paragraph of comment [join hands]
Does the heroine have the conditions to take a shower and change clothes after her escape? I really care about hygiene [covering face and laughing]
These empty houses must have been inhabited by people before. There are also a lot of usable furniture and objects that are rare. When the villagers fled the famine, they moved everything they could 🤔
Isn't this Qian Yuancheng interested in the heroine? Oh my god [please]
The place where the heroine and the others fled is called "Qiandi", which now refers to Guizhou Province. The setting in the article is a Tibetan area... The living conditions in Tibetan areas in ancient times should have been even worse, and there were local religions and the like. It's really superstitious [Cracked]
