The Beta Side Character Everyone Wants on a Dating Show

Chu Xun transmigrates into the body of a reborn beta, and even takes over the body completely. This beta looks about eighty percent like him.

From the beta’s diary, Chu Xun learns that he is a cannon-fodder character on a dating show. He was reborn once, and even with the advantage of knowing what would happen, he still couldn’t escape his fate as cannon fodder.

The diary says that New Star Entertainment’s hit dating show from last year, "Immersive Romance: You and Me", will begin filming its second season in three days.

For this season, the director has specially cast two betas. One is stunningly beautiful but has a low EQ and IQ, while the other is merely handsome, yet is a genius with exceptionally high EQ and IQ.

By comparison, the original host, who is stunningly beautiful but not very bright, becomes the cannon-fodder contestant nobody likes.

The protagonist, on the other hand, is only handsome, but has tremendous personal charm. He breaks through prejudice about looks and gender, becoming the one person every Alpha and omega on the show falls for, and the most charming beta in the eyes of millions of viewers.

The dating show even popularizes a line that would be repeated for years: Looks and gender don’t matter. What determines love is your own shining soul!

It’s obvious that the director deliberately set the original host up to be cannon fodder. The reborn original host knows this, but for the money, and because he thinks his memories of his previous life will let him change his fate as the scapegoat, he joins the show again anyway.

The outcome is clear: he doesn’t change his fate.

After reading the original host’s diary, Chu Xun decides to steer clear of the dating show. Unfortunately, the original host has already signed up by the time Chu Xun transmigrates, and he can’t afford the cancellation fee for now, so he has no choice but to grit his teeth and join the show.

To be honest, he doesn’t have the best temper either!

Chu Xun helplessly pulls down his sleeve, covering the tattoo on his wrist.

Theme: Everyone deserves to have a soul that shines.
