[Football] Professor, Would You Like an Aircraft Carrier?

Good news: Kroenke and Usmanov are both gone! Bad news: A Chinese national has arrived and bought the club outright. Do Chinese people really understand football? Is this going to be another bloodsucker who pinches every penny and only cares about making money? Arsenal fans are starting to panic. Wenger, who had just heard the news and was immediately told to attend a meeting, secretly celebrated that the two damned bloodsuckers were finally gone. Then he started worrying about what Arsenal would do in the upcoming transfer window. In the end, he worked out the answer: they would just have to scrape by as they were. QAQ At the time, no one could have imagined that Arsenal was finally going to live the kind of life it had once "despised." Scene One: Wenger pushed up his glasses. "Gao, you want to sign David Villa and David Silva from Valencia as a package? Isn't the price a little steep?" "It really is steep!" Gao Yan blurted out, a trace of emotion in his voice. But after a moment, he added, "So, is there anyone even more expensive?" Scene Two: "Impossible! Absolutely impossible! After spending so much in the summer window, how much budget could Arsenal possibly have left for the winter? They'd be lucky to sign a center-back!" That was practically every fan's consensus. Amid all the clamor, the winter window opened, and Arsenal successfully signed AC Milan's Thiago Silva, along with another center-back/defensive midfielder. Just as the fans watching from the sidelines thought Arsenal would call it quits for the winter window, an unexpected official announcement landed like a thunderclap across the football world, right before the transfer window closed. Arsenal had signed Tottenham's Modric and Bale as a package, for a record-breaking fee! P.S. The pairing is Modric. The story will butterfly away his marriage and child with his girlfriend in 2010. P.P.S. UEFA published its Financial Fair Play regulations in 2010. They officially took effect in 2013, but I probably won't write as far as 2013. P.P.P.S. The author is a casual fan. If any mistakes come up, I'll fix them if I can. If I can't, just consider them part of the butterfly effect. P.P.P.P.S. I'm not sure I can keep updating daily this semester. My professor says they'll be helping us publish papers, and I'm nearly desperate enough to go crazy. Anyway, updates are at midnight every day. Other times are for fixing typos. If anything comes up, I'll post a leave notice. That's all for now. Theme: Strive toward a brighter future
